10-Hour Basic Arbitration Training
This 10-hour training program provides participants with a practical foundation in arbitration, focusing on the terminology, arbitration process, and hearing procedures that govern this alternative dispute resolution method. Designed for professionals, students, and anyone interested in conflict resolution, the course blends theory with hands-on role play scenarios to ensure participants not only understand arbitration but also gain confidence in conducting the session(s).
Participants will:

Review key terminology in the arbitration process;

Learn about the initial set up and scheduling process of an arbitration;

Discuss case management during an arbitration including handling submissions, evidence, and procedural orders;

Develop awareness with the stages of arbitration: from initiation and arbitrator selection to hearings and the final award;

Define the due process principles how to and ensure fairness and impartiality throughout the process;

Review confidentiality and enforceability, focusing on how arbitration awards are recognized and enforced.
